So there was Ray Dietrich designing another car when he got a phone call from Gibson.  "How's about getting an explorer, rounding it off, giving it the styling of mid-50s car tail-fins, putting some banjo parts on it and oh yeah try to make it look like a reverse Jag" came the call.  Not only did he do this but as an added bonus he made it ridiculously neck heavy!
